The Backside

A triptych of the female back. Part raw clay and partly glazed with a metallic glaze called gold rain. Design hand-etched into stoneware clay.

I decided to leave her flesh unglazed, naked if you will. Etching is stained with brown and a robin's egg background.

Each one measures 3 x 3in. Not sure what to do with them yet? Any suggestions?

Eye of the Beholder

"Beauty" is in the eye of the beholder. Our pets don't care what we look like, just how we care for and love them. A good life lesson.

Chief is our 110lb. plus adopted American Bulldog. He may be big and clumsy, but also very friendly and loveable

My first body image is now complete with the the proverb that reads..."just when the caterpillar thought her world was over, she became a butterfly." Time to soar.

What's in your Nest?

Greetings, I'm new here!

I can't believe that this is one of my New Years resolutions (to start a blog) and I got it done early! Woo-Hoo! I hope the rest of the year goes this well.

Anyway, my definition of the "nest" is a cozy place called home. In a nest or home, we all tend to nurture ourselves and family with the things that we love. I love to collect and create handmade items. A handmade piece of art usually comes with a story, a memory, a piece of history and/or a sentimental meaning.

On this blog, I plan to share with you all the things I love to create and collect for my nest.
